I return to University tomorrow. Not uni, but UNIVERSITY.
There’s a difference
Uni is the part where you’re at the pub every night and you’re debriefing the girls in your bed.
University is being at the library, not doing your homework and drinking coffee - not in the aesthetic way but in the, I will faint if I don’t get a drop of caffeine.
I can literally already picture it: me, surrounded by stacks of books, trying to make sense of it all while simultaneously resisting the urge to scroll through Tiktik for the hundredth time (hence my 2 hour screen limit)
I’ll need to find a balance between hitting the books and letting loose with the girls.
I am a little scared because it’s my final year and the year that accounts for the majority of my course.
Send prayers.
I came back from Barcelona on Tuesday and whilst it is a beautiful city, the men in that city are crazy. CRAZY.
Catcalling should be a crime and I actually believe that. I really don’t understand why Men ( not all, but some) think it is okay to shout out at women in the street. We had men literally stop a car in the road trying to talk to us - DRIVE ON SIR.
I hate it! We resorted to calling them ‘Munters’ as well as barking at them. The barking worked for a while but then one man responded to my barks with a ‘meow’ before calling us ‘Fucking slags’ - lovely.
I thought I was prepared to handle it all, but after binge-watching Olivia Atwood’s Bad Boyfriends, I realised my man-hating was about to hit an all-time high. Every episode just reinforced what I already knew: men have AUDACITY.
Nasty Business.
In other news, I moved into my university house and I adore my room! I spent £100 at Homesense and I had to be forced to put 3 of the 6 cushions that I picked up, down. I once again fear that I might have another spending issue but now that I am at uni again, I am forced to take on a student mindset and be sensible ( I sent my Student Loan to my Dad)
From now on, I am a serious student and I will not spend all of my money on clothes and things from my room.
